Carrying too much, still plugging in.
Pilgrim's Fire makes post-alternative rock that treats every song like evidence — not of a crime, but of what survived one.
Born from the ash-and-marrow imagery of late-90s confessional rock and the blunt honesty of the post-grunge era, the project maps emotional damage with forensic precision: static prayers, lead-heavy pockets, nerve endings left raw in daylight. Guitars scrape like filed teeth. Drums hit like verdicts. Vocals don't perform catharsis — they testify.
The sound sits where Alice in Chains' weight meets the slow-burn disclosure of modern alt-rock: downtuned riffs, room-tone drums, and melodies that arrive bruised but unbroken. Records unfold as case files — Everything Unsaid catalogs what language failed to carry; The Long Undoing traces the years after the impact; deeper cuts like The Bone Collector's Debt descend into metaphor as ledger-keeping.
How it's made. Pilgrim's Fire is a Planetary Records artist project. Generative music tools surface unexpected harmonic and lyrical directions; human curation shapes song order, narrative arc, mix decisions, and what gets released. The goal isn't automation — it's acceleration toward truth-telling at scale.
Start here: Everything Unsaid (full album), then Separate Ways and Stranded (singles), then The Long Undoing.
